Chi siamo

 La nostra avventura inizia nel 1996, nella città di Lubiana – Slovenia.

Una famiglia Russa si era trasferita lì per lavoro ed avevano portato con loro la cucciolotta per far compagnia alla loro bambina, ma appena arrivati sono stati informati che non potevano tenere animali nel loro alloggio... Immaginate una gattina di 2 mesi completamente bianca, che a toccarla sembrava un soffice batuffolo di ovatta, con il naso le orecchie e i polpastrelli rosa, gli occhi verdi, nata a Mosca – Russia e di razza Siberiana.
Bene…… una volta immaginato questo e’ facile indovinare che cosa ci ha fatto innamorare a prima vista di questa stupenda razza. Guardando il suo musetto, la forma e il colore dei suoi occhi ci ha ricordato Romy Schneider interpretando il film “Sissi e l’Imperatore”.
Da questo e’ nato il nome che abbiamo scelto per il nostro piccolo batuffolo “Principessa Sissi”.
Convivendo con Sissi abbiamo scoperto i pregi di questa razza al punto che quando aveva 4 anni (considerando che la maturita dei siberiani e’ raggiunta ai 5 anni), dopo aver consultato alcuni allevatori, abbiamo deciso di presentarla ad una Esposizione Internazionale della TROPICATS/TICA in Brasile. I 3 Giudici Internazionali,dopo averla esaminata, all’unanimità autorizzarono il registro iniziale. Da quel momento il nostro scopo è stato quello di far conoscere e divulgare i pregi di questa razza.
Abbiamo ricercato in tutto il mondo i compagni da affiancare a Sissi, ed iniziare l’allevamento. Abbiamo scoperto il maschio in Ungheria a Tynie – Budapest dall’allevamento MARONOV. Aveva 5 mesi, di nome “Maronow Adrian”.e di colore brown mackerel tabby. Anche lui ci ha conquistato con il suo fare, caratteristico della razza. L’altra femmina l’abbiamo trovata in Italia a Villa Guardia – Como dall’allevamento Della Niva. L’abbiamo prenotata 4 mesi prima della nascita e scegliemmo per lei il nome “Katiuscia”. La prendemmo che non aveva compiuto 3 mesi, bellissima, di colore brown mackerel tabby with white.
In questo modo potevamo iniziare l’allevamento, ed in onore alla nostra Principessa Sissi lo nominammo “Moskva Siberian Cattery”. Da allora abbiamo partecipato a molte esposizioni per seguire il nostro scopo di far conoscere questa razza.
Sia Sissi che Katiuscia hanno dato vita a dei bellissimi cuccioli. Due di loro, una di Sissi e l’altro di Katiuscia, sono rimasti con noi per dare continuità al nostro allevamento. Dalla cucciola di Sissi, dal nome “MoskvaSibCat Almost White S. Adrianova” bianca con occhi blu e come dice il nome era nata completamente bianca tranne una piccola macchia sulla testa, abbiamo poi mantenuto questa linea di sangue ed oggi abbiamo anche una figlia ed una nipote sua nel nostro allevamento. Invece il cucciolo di Katiuscia, dal nome “MoskvaSibCat Borodin K. Adrianovich”.di colore brown mackerel tabby with white, è diventato il nostro maschio show e si è affiancato ad Adrian come riproduttore. Dopo 2 anni abbiamo anche deciso di tenere una femmina, MoskvaSibCat Orlitza K. Adrianova sempre brown tabby mak con bianco per la continuazione della linea femminile di Katiuscia.

About us

Our adventure begins in 1996, in the city of Lubiana, Slovenia. A Russian family had moved there to work and they had brought along the kitten to be their daughter’s pet but on arrival they had discovered they could not keep an animal in their lodgings.

Imagine a small white kitten soft to the touch; with nose, ears and pads of a rose colour and the loveliest green eyes, born in Moscow – Russia and to top it off a Siberian.
If you can imagine all this together it will also be easy for you to guess why we have fallen in love at first site with this spectacular breed.
Looking at her, the sweet face and the shape and colour of her eyes reminded us of Romy Schneider in the role of Sissi marrying Franz Joseph.
This is why we called our small white bundle “Princess Sissi”.
Living with Sissi we discovered the best aspect of the breed and when she was almost completely mature at 4 years (the Siberian breed completes maturity at 5 years of age) we decided to present Sissi in a Cat Show after having asked guidelines from a few breeders. The opportunity came with the Tropicats/TICA International Show in our city. 

Three International Judges examined Sissi and unanimously authorized her initial register. 

This victory enabled us to realize our aim of divulging all the virtues of this breed.
To start our Cattery we needed a minimum of another female and one male. We started searching for suitable cats all over the World.
Our male was located in Hungary at Tynie – Budapest in the Maronov Cattery. He was a 5 months old brown mackerel tabby kitten called “Maronow Adrian”. As often happens, Adrian was the one to choose us with the typical demeanour of the breed, instead of the other way around.
We located the other female in Italy at Villa Guardia – Como from the Della Niva Cattery. 

We booked the kitten 4 months before the litter was born and decided to name her “Katiuscia”. 

We went to pick her up when she was almost 3 months old, a beautiful brown mackerel tabby with white called “Katiuscia”.
At this point we could register and start our Cattery, and in Sissi’s honour we called it “Moskva Siberian Cattery”.
From then on we took part in many shows to make known this breed in South America.
Both Sissi and Katiuscia gave birth to lovely kitten. 

Two of this kittens, a female from Sissi and a male from Katiuscia, were kept with us for the continuity of our cattery. From Sissi’s daughter, called “MoskvaSibCat Almost White S. Adrianova” , white blue eyes, and as the name suggests, was born totally white but for a small colour spot on the head we have kept this bloodline and today we have also a daughter from her and a granddaughter. Katiuscia’s son is called “MoskvaSibCat Borodin K. Adrianovich” and has become our show male and is working along his father as a stud.  After 2 years we decided also to retain a female, MoskvaSibCat Orlitza K. Adrianova of the same colour, to continue the female line from Katiuscia.
